Ok, bear w/me I am new to this. I see nice photos in the scrapbook magazines that have nice swirly little things on top of the photos, I know they are brushes. I have found a couple of websites were you can download these brushes. How do I download them into photoshop? Then how do I apply them to the photos? I tried to apply them to the photos and I got them on the photo (they look like marching ants) I could not get them to become solid in color nor could I get them to print out.

Help frustrated!

Hi Tanya ...

To installed the brushes they so in your Photoshop or Elements software folder under Presets>Brushes .. then restart Elements.

As far as using them I thing you were using the selection brush and not the paint brush :)

Tanya,

Here is the path to the Brushes folder in Elements. Substitute your version of Elements.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Presets\Brushes

If you're not sure how to get there, double click on My Computer from your desktop, then Drive C:, then Program Files....etc. to finally get to the Brushes folder (assuming you have Windows version).

While your Brushes window is open, copy or drag the brushes .ABR file into that window with the rest of the brushes files.

Then restart Elements, as Wendy said.
