I would like to know the easiet way to create a thin trim border inside of an existing shape - like a thin border trim? The shape is the rounded rectangle. Thanks!

Is this what you want?

Control click on the thumbnail of your shape layer in the layer's palette
That will open a selection of the outside of your shape
Select> modify> contract
choose around 20/30 pixels
(You will see your selection is now inside your shape)
Then open a new layer above your original layer
edit> stroke
on the new layer
(I like to keep all stroking on it's own layer so I have the option to delete it at a later time)
control d - turns off the selection
** you can add a shadow or bevel to this stroke layer for an entirely different look

Thanks so much for the detailed walkthrough on how to complete this step! I will be sure to use this method tonight and I am planning to complete the project this evening. I love this forum as you guys really provide some very useful information and the most helpful responses to our questions. Take care!!!!
