A few months ago someone was kind enough to put a link on the forum on how to make transparent or clear text. If this was you or you know of a link would you mind to post it again. I would greatly appreciate it.

Dave,
My method is similar to that described in the thread Christell linked, but I don't change the blend mode - I just use Layer Styles.
- Create the Text layer (any color will do).
- Apply a Bevel Layer Style to the text.
- Apply the "Hide" Layer Style, under the Visibility group, to the text.
This hides the text, but leaves the bevels fully visible. Try the "Ghosted" style, too, if you want semi-transparent text.
Here's an example... HTH!

You guys are awesome. There are so many different ways to do things and that is what I love about Photoshop Elements.

Here is a little different method if you want a little "sheen" to your clear text.
1. Load Image.
2. Add transparent layer above it.
3. Go to Text Tool (text color doesn't matter).
4. Go Layers Style >> Wow Plastic >> Wow Plastic Clear
You get a beveled text with a little "sheen" and a soft highlight behind the text.
