program crashes when click on save

My daughter has photoshopElements5 and when she clicks on save the program stops responding.she has uninstalled and reinstalled it but still does it.any ideas what to do??

I had the same problem and solved it by saving often, after every change I made. Don't ask me why, it seems to work for me. If I have a project that is a little larger than I usually work on, it crashes when I clicked on save. So now, instead of waiting until I made a few changes, I SAVE RIGHT AWAY! I am sure there is an answer to why, but I don't knowit. BillandCat

Is this a new install ... or has it been working OK up to now ??

I just called her and she said it worked at one time.She has another photoshop delux photo album( I forgot the name she said) and wonders if this may be the problem cause they do share files. I'm just trying to help her cause it is such a waste she can't use her beautiful program

It is true you may have a program or file that is causing the problem,maybe something in the registry on pc,i had a problem also with 5 crashing i went on to the adobe web site found updates downloaded the 5.0.2 update for windows and vista and problem solved.that was two weeks ago and touch wood all ok still
