Create line drawing plus transparent?

How do I create a line drawing from the attached photo? I want something that is truly a line drawing and is completely transparent. I have played around with it a little and am posting a copy of that...but, I'm not entirely happy with it. It looks to much like a black and white copy of the photo with the outside erased. Any help you can give will be appreciated a lot!1929

Carmen - I can't be of much use on the sketch side - I think what you have so far is great. As to the transparency though only the tiff of gif files can be saved and maintain transparency. If you are going to use the file on the web you probably want gif for its smaller size. After you have your sketch done, select the white background and do a background erase. Then do a File/Save for Web and save as a gif file. Make sure you check the preserve transparency box in the dialog.

You can also save as a png to maintain transparency. pngs are huge files but I prefer creating them and working with them for digi-scrapping.

BTW - I think your pencil drawing is great.
