a bit off topic, but looking into buying a camcorder.

not sure if the HD's are the way to go. i want to edit my videos in CS3 extended, but it seems many of the HD's you have to use their software.

is that true?

not looking for state of the art, but do want to be able to edit.

I don't know anything about editing videos in CS3 extended... but if you want to edit your videos in Adobe Premiere Elements, you should focus ;) on miniDV cameras.
