I often want to print a thread in the forum, as I mainly read it at work, but want to follow the actions at home.
settings everythinh at A4 cuts off the sides. Printing A4 from Legal size page fits sideways, but cuts off the bottom. What paper size is the forum basedc on? You lot being the other side ofr the pond to me.
Also when this is cracked, is there a way to print all the pages of a thread at once, rather than load each page then print it?

Hi Chris,

I always select the text, then copy, then paste it into a Word processor. I use Pages, which works very well, since it is friendly to graphics, but, if you don't have a Mac, I'm sure there is another one that will work. The advantage is that, after copying, you can edit the document, since it is treated as text. This way you can cut out unecessary stuff, and make it fit on your page.

I find the easiest way to do it is to copy and paste into word. Exactly for the same reason. You see what you get and you can edit out what you don't want. If it's instructions for a particular tutorial, you just want the instructions, not all the chat stuff. It will also take up a lot less pages I would think.

Chris,

What make and model printer do you have? Canon and Epson both have software that will print web pages to fit A4 (or whatever size). Canon's is called Easy-Web Print and Epson's is Web-To-Page.

Canon's software is often presented in the form of a button in the buttons bar of Internet Explorer (just under the address bar). It's easy to spot (no pun !!)

That is, if you're on a Windows machine. Canon's Mac drivers don't offer this option.

If you use Firefox browser...then select under File >'Print Preview' and you can see what will print, re-size, and just print the pages you want to keep. And it is a very good browser also!
