I always look forward to new Killer Tips podcasts and this one is no different. However, the previous 2 podcasts did not show up in my iTunes feed, while the Hearts podcast did (thank you!). It jumps from the Wacom Bamboo Tablet podcast of January 17th to the Hearts podcast.
Just FYI - perhaps the issue has been fixed and future podcasts will all appear in my iTunes feed. If so, :D

I'm a subscriber and I can't download the tutorials. I simply get a"waiting" on the window that never seems to progress. Is there a problem?
Thanks!

Has anyone tried to follow the tutorial and gotten into any difficulties when it came to applying the gradient?
I have Photoshop Elements 6 on PC, and it is obvious that the tutorial was done with Photoshop Elements 6 on MAC. So, I am not sure if the default settings are different between PC and MAC or what happened was just a verbal oversight with it left up to the viewer to make sure of settings...
To get the same effect as shown in the video,
Select Gradient Tool/Use Foreground to Transparent background as said, but remember to check the Options Bar area:
Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100%
Reverse is Unchecked
Dither and Transparency are each Checked.
If not, the whole heart is red after applying the first gradient.

Where and what are the video tutorials that you cannot download from this site? Is this just a recent happening or have you ever been able to download videos from this site? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed?
Many have attributed these download problems to specific QuickTime version incompatibility and have suggested using a different player which has been discussed in many threads here (check Search). At this time I am not having any problems downloading video from this site using the latest version of QuickTime.

ATR,
I'm simply clicking on the hypertext link "download here" listed in the "hearts" tutorial post above. A windows frame opens up and it looks like it is trying to download but the text along the bottom progress bar simply says "waiting for" - with a progress bar that goes about 1/2 the way across and then freezes. It doesn't even get the chance to try to open in Quicktime. Thanks! Terry

OK - I think I've solved the issue. I was not right clicking on the link. That seemed to fix the problem. Thanks! Terry

Try this suggestion and, if necessary, I will re-explain if I made it confusing.
When he is ready to add photo to project, go to the File Menu/Open and select the photo you want to use.
When it opens, it will replace the previous image on the Monitor. In the photo bin you will see the previous image file as well as the image file for what is being displayed in the Monitor.
Click on the Move Tool in the Toolbox, and use the Move Tool to drag the Photo image from the Monitor to the previous image file (with heart layers) in the Photo Bin.
Once that is done, the photo will probably overwhelmed the scene so you will have to size it down to be displayed within the heart. So, Control T. But you will not see the bounding box with corner that you need for resizing. So, Control 0 "as in zero". Now you should be able to see and use the corners of the bounding box for resizing.
To get out of Control T, your alternatives are:
Hit Enter on the small keyboard to the right of the main keyboard
or
Hold down the Control key and press Enter on the Main Keyboard
or
Click on the check mark usually at the corner of the bounding box.
Check out his layers and make sure your layers are configured according. Do not forget that clipping group step to get the photo to show just within the heart.
Any questions, please post.
