Wendy thank you for the tutorials. I always learn something amazing when doing them. Your directions are so uh JUDY proof, and perfect. Thats for continuing my education. I have a little brother who as a kid always dressed like Elvis (mom made his outfits) he wanted to dye his blonde hair black, mom drew the line. I will use one of his pictures on the record label . Cant wait to try it.
judy oops wendy sorry i put this in wrong thread.

Hi Carol ...
The fun with buttons is that you can add all sorts of papers, colours etc to them ... :)

Wendy-when I print the tuts from the PET site the text is a pale shade of gray and kind of hard to read-is it me or the tut? It seems that the test on the website is kind of pale...

Hi Carol ...
The text does look pale on the website ... its not you.
I suspect that its just the way they do it ... :(

Hi First the text on the tutorials is grey but if you highlight it and click on your black text button, it all turns nice and black. (I generally also enlarge it to 12 pts instead of 10 - getting old and can't see so well). Should have said - I copy and paste all the tutorials into Word to keep and read over again. That is where I make the changes.
Second, Wendy, bless you for all the tutorials. I try to make one of each and keep them as a master. I LOVED the vinyl record since I grew up with them and actually still have a good machine to play them. Anyway...
the button. I made the one in the tutorial and then made one using Linda Sattghast's paper from 30-06 (pink dots). The problem is the shadow. It makes the button look dirty instead of just shadowed. Is there a different shadow thing to do for light colored buttons?

Hi Leslie ..
Glad that you like the tuts :)
The Vinyl record was fun to do but it took me ages to work out some of the effects ...
Now about the button ... try reducing the opacity lower than 40% but if that doen't work try using a darker shade of the button colour instead of black.
Hopefully that will work OK :)

Thanks, I did try reducing the opacity but it still looked dirty. I will try the same color. Thanks, again.

Hi,
I just posted this question under scrapbooking and it lead me to this thread. So I thought I'd look for the source! I'm stuck on #10 in the button tutorial. The black layer fills the whole layer and not just the circle?

Do you have the circle selected before you fill it?
