A thief probably nicked the wheel.

My son once padlocked his bike to a railing, and someone quickly took both wheels off and ran off with them. And a couple of thieves once broke into our garage and took all the wheels off SEVEN bikes which were all chained and padlocked together. Once they'd done that it was easy to slip the chains off the chassis (pl?) and steal the rest of the bikes:mad:
