Whenever I edit a picture and then try to print it on my Epson Stylus Photo printer it looks grainy and has vertical lines. Where as if I print it right away it looks good. Is there anything I can do?

Which post do you want to get your answers for? With having two posts the answers are going to be split up until people catch on to the double-posting.

Epson Printers have caused this question many times -- you need to test your PSE settings to see what happens. Start by trying No Color Management and try printing that way. Then set it to Full Color Management and see if that makes a difference.

IF this doesnt fix your situation post here again and let us know what you've tried.

Hi there ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

A lot of people get confused about which section they need to post queries in (and I do agree that its a fine dividing line between them) ... but I think that most of us read all of the sections of the forum so it doesn't really matter which one you use :) Its always difficult to know what to do when you join a new forum ..

We are a friendly lot here and I'm sure you will enjoy the site ... any help you need then do ask :)

Sorry about posting in 2 places, I am new to this.
Thank you for your reply. I do have a question. You said to put no color managment and full color managment, I guess I don't have those choices. Under the color management the only thing I can change is the print space, and the drop down box has either same as source and printer color manager. I tried both and that didn't work all that well either. Then in my printer preference I changed it to ICM in the color managment. It did get better but not is good as if I print from my kodak easyshare program.

The references I was making are found in the preferences section of PSE-- there is a provision for setting color management options. I thought these might help -- but someone with Epson experience will be along to comment on how they solve the problems.

Check out preferences to see if setting those options will make a difference. I know there are embedded files for some printer that my camera includes and it jumps up at me but I ignore it (so I am not sure if it is epson or not).

What Will meant is under Photoshop Elements / Colour Settings (Mac) or Edit / Colour Settings (Windows).
