HELP CHANGE BACKGROUND COLOR OF PHOTO

How do you change the background of photo? My photo has a fussy backgroud I want to change to a solid color.

Actually unlimited. Besides desaturating the background, the most common effect is to fudge a DOF (depth of field) out of focus (OOF) effect by using the Gaussian blur filter under the filter menu.
Blurring the background is a great way to de-emphasize a distracting background. :idea:
