PS Album to PSE4

Good Morning,

I have been using PSE1 and Album since they came out. I decided to buy PSE4, but haven't installed it yet.

Before I install PSE4 over PSe1 and PSAlbum I want to know if PSE4 will pick up all the images in PSAlbum and their associated tags. I wouldn't want to have to recreate the tags on thousands of photos. Will PSE4 also pick up other photos on my computer that are not yet imported into PSAlbum?

Unrelated question....
There was no $20 off upgrade certificate in my box of PSE4. Is there a way to get one?

Yes, 4.0 should pick up your Catalog with tags. As for other pics on your computer, if it doesn't find them automatically--you can either turn on the "watched folders" in 4.0 (under file in organizer) or do an import from the folder you want the pics from.
Your $20 rebate??? Is it on your receipt? I know sometimes stores like CompUSA do that. Try the store where you bought it.

regarding the rebate

Some stores are not offering the rebate.
I purchased version 4 at Costco, no rebate sticker on box, no rebate application in box or on receipt. I talked to Adobe customer service and was told that if you did not get the rebate application with the product, then that merchant is not providing the rebate in addition to their already reduced price.

Suspect that Walmart is the same, but am not sure.

In the end, my view is that buying from Costco in store saved me waiting time. It was no more expensive than buying from Adobe (who subtracts rebate up front upon verification of qualification for rebate) and it is more expensive than Amazon after rebate price. I am OK with that.
