As usual I have a story:
My mom's good friend just went through surgery to stop the spread of cancer. Before the operation my mom wanted to give her friend something to remind her of their friendship so she gave her two roses that she grew in her graden. My mom's friend liked the roses so much that she took a picture of them and sent it along with a nice email to my mom. Well now the operation is over (a sucess so far) and my mom's friend is recovering. My mom asked me the other day if I would print the picture for her so she could give it to her friend as a reminder of their friendship. I said sure, but then my addiction and all the GREAT advice I have gotten from this site kicked in. I made some changes to the picture and sent it to my mom last night to give to her friend. When my mom saw it she cried and well that made me....(um mever mind). So thank you to everyone here for giving me the knowledge you have given and inspiring me to use this wonderful tool.

Hi Brian,
Lovely story.
Lovely effect.
Since I discovered PE and I'm a relative newcomer, the reaction to some of the photos of the family has been really great.
It's a great feeling to bring pleasure to someone. Keep up the good work.
Kev.

Brian that is absolutely gorgeous. You choice for the background colour is perfect. I can see why you Mom cried. It was very thoughtful of you to take that extra step and enhance the photo. It really makes all the difference.

You did an excellent job on that ... really well done.

It was such a kind thing for you to do and I imagine that your Mum must be so happy with the final result :)

Looking at your work and commenting not only benefits you but it benefits us as well Brian! It's a terrific way to get ideas and it also helps to train yourself to look for different ways to do things, or improve on them. We all learn by sharing. Oh and lets not forget the other part...........it's fun!

Brian,

It's beautiful. It really touched me as I'm a 32 year cancer survivor.

What a beautiful and thoughtful thing to do!

The effect really does justice to the beauty of the roses and for the sentiment in the story.
