Hi-

I wasn't sure if this was a Beginning Question, Advanced, or somewhere in bewteen. So, I chose Advanced. :)

I have in front of me Scott Kelby's book, The Photoshop Elements 3 Book for Digital Photographers, turned to page 150.

There, he suggests changing the setting in the Edit > Color Settings dialog box to Full Color Management. He briefly explains why, and it seems logical but I was curious about more. How come? What are the ramifications of not doing this? What would be an example of a time when one would use Limited Color Management or No Color Management?

Whew. I'm tired now...

Limited colour management if for Web. I think pictures are assigned sRGB colour profile. sRGB is usually too narrow a profile for printing (missing some colours).

No colour management is when you keep the existing colour profile from the source (if there is one) but with no intention of publishing your work (either on the web or in printouts).

Hope this helps,

Ray
