Hey, Adobe:
You have (had?) a very loyal following of PSE users. Why the silence on your many mistakes in 4.0? Do you have a PR department? Are they listening? It isn't too late to recover some lost allegiance and faith but the longer the silence continues the tougher it will be to come back. C'mon, do the right thing. Live up to your reputation. If you don't take care of this soon you can forget PSE 5.0 unless it's a free (or almost free) retrofit for registered losers (excuse me, users) of the 4.0 edition.

George ...
This isn't actually an Adobe site ... so I doubt that anyone from Adobe will read your message.
Best thing to do is send your feedback to Adobe ... try this link. You can use it to suggest new features or modifications to existing feature and Adobe do say "We value your input, and any Ideas you submit will be presented to Adobe product teams and may be considered in the development of future product versions."

Wendy:
Thanks for your input. I am aware of what you said. However, I would be very surprised if Adobe didn't scan the forum to pick up on undercurrents that may not be addressed to their suggestion site.
Thanks again. I enjoy your comments on many subjects.

Hi George,
I'm sorry you feel the way you do about Adobe in the changes to version 4. Perhaps I'm the odd-man-out but I've always looked at "Elements" as just that. Elements of Photoshop CS2. I figure that if PE4 is only 1/10th the price of the full version then adobe has done me a favor.
By removing actions, for example, that tell's me it is not their intention for us little guys to be abe to do what the big guys can do. If they make elements as good as CS2 then why would anyone want to purchase a much higher priced editing package that doesn't even include the organizer?
As a photographer PE4 has absolutely everything I need and a whole lot more than I'll ever use. Not one thing is missing, or not working, that I need to use when touching up an existing image. If people are expecting Adobe to take an otherwise messed up image and create a work of art, well, folks need to go reshoot their project again.
It's seamless intergration with Premiere is unmatched and combined they provide a workable package that makes my life much easier as a professional photograher.
My hats off to Adobe for this one. I'm extremely satisfied :)

Thanks for your input. The problem I have with Adobe is that they eliminated a very useful tool, namely File Browser. That causes me to use several extra keystrokes to accomplish the import task. I am well aware of the "open" icon and the Photo Browser but that is very, very different from having the picture you want right in the work area to import with a double click.

Wendy,
Adobe might not be reading post by post what's said here. But I am confident someone pushes a report of the general feeling to them, once in a while.
After all, they're sponsoring this site so they must want to know if it's working or not.. :-D

Adobe has an Adobe User to User Forum which is monitored by Adobe personnel. Actually it is a very good forum with lots of informed particpants including Barbara Brundage and Grant Dixon. Very helpful people.
Anyway, there are several topics going on right now that will allow to participate in discussion of PSE 4.0.
You can get to the user forum by going to the Adobe Web site. Sorry not able to link it as you would have to register

Speaking from the inside here, my suggestion would be to use the User to User forums at Adobe and any bug/feature request pages they offer. While its possible, I don't believe they're scanning this forum actively. Hope this helps.

Thanks Matt ... :)
I have been a member of the Adobe Elements user to user forum for a number of years and whilst there is a moderator who is Adobe appointed I don't believe that Adobe closely monitor the actual forums for product feedback.
I think that the best place to put your feedback for feature that you want Elements to have ... or improvements to existing features is:
http://www.adobe.com/support/feature.html
or
http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@666.8BxZfsy7cd5.6@.ef32bec
and Bug reports to:

The boards are monitored by Adobe Volunteers, but they are not employees of Adobe. Though they can relay messages, from time to time, I don't think they are the direct and opened link between Adobe and their customer.
