Negative into positive

Where can I find instructions on how to turn a negative into a positive? I used to have a program that could do it.

A slide scanner could do that for you, you can get one at best buy or computer stores and mostly any computer store.

Filter>Adjustments>Invert will work on B&W images but doesn't do it accurately for colour images ... its all to do with the orange mask in colour film.

Some scanners will do this for colour negatives ... :)
