The winning photo this week is the same one Norma recognized in an earlier post. People just seem to love it.

We all like to do bird images but the colors in this photo are something special.

How surprised I was when I opened the winners and saw a picture I recognized right away. The Hearst Castle indoor pool must have made quite an impression on me when I saw it several years ago. I tried getting some pictures, but no flashes are allowed inside and the day wasn't as bright as in this shot. All the pictures are excellent. Congratulations to all.

Thank you Carol. I didn't exactly play fair. I told the 2nd tour guide I had to use the restroom which is on the far side of the pool where normally spectators can't go. (See below.) Then I waited till everyone had left the area and took the previously posted shot. I only had 1 lucky (I think good photography is more luck than skill) chance because everyone else was already on the bus. I too have fond memories of the castle because my grandparents took me to see it when I was young and that pool sure made an impression on me.
