The purpose of this weekly challenge is to encourage creative experimentation with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. All Lightroom users are welcome to join in and for those who don't have Lightroom but wish to play, here is the link to the 30-day trial versionhttp://www.adobe.com/products/photoshoplightroom/

Please make any adjustments you choose to the following image and post your results in this thread. Share how you processed the image and provide information on any develop presets used. All modifications on the image must be made in Lightroom with the exception of sharpening, noise reduction, and resizing. Matt Kloskowski's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Killer Tips is a great source for Lightroom Develop presets found here http://www.lightroomkillertips.com/

Okay, here's my first attempt. I couldn't improve on Rob's excellent image, so I decided something 'funky' might be an alternative:

I couldn't resist trying a black & white with this. Made a bunch of adjustments and then an infrared preset on top.

I want to stowaway next time Rob goes on a photo expedition. This shot is just so breathtaking...

My thoughts on this one was that only a B?W conversion would work(IMHO). Cropping was the problem. You gotta go back there and cut down that diagonal log or maybe this winters weather did it for you.
I edited in Light room and played with all the controls. I noticed that when converting to gray scale that WB setting has a profound effect. So as I was going along I kept fine tuning WB.
