To satisfy my obsession for old houses/buildings and BW conversion I went out taking pictures yesterday.

Just for the curious, someone does live in this house. It actually looks a lot worse than it does in this particular photo.

Nice shot Joe. I think that ladder has been standing there a while though.

Joe,

What a great photo. The black & white and crop came out really well.

I know you are starting a 366 Photos blog so just reminding you that "House" and "Ladder" are on the theme list. :)

Thank You Nancy. I think that ladder has been there awhile. Don't you love the way it curves and throws a shadow on the house? I was lucky to catch the Sun throwing light on that side of the house.

Thank You Julie. I will remember this photo for my 360, I mean 366, blog.:)

Joe,
I love old houses & barns in photos & I like your cropped B&W. I also like turning them into colored sketches because the detail of the wood comes out great in sketches & B&W.

Thank You Christell. My ultimate goal is to get as many pictures of old buildings from Eastern N. C. that I can. I'd like to get at least 100 really good ones and decide from there what I do with them.

I would love to see you turn this photo into a colored sketch. If it's something you would like to do. You can use the photo here or I can send you the original photo.

Thank You Norma and very funny.

I have no idea why the ladder is up there. I'm sure there is an interesting story behind it and the house itself.

Homemade pie and bread can be really good. I'm not so sure about homemade ladders.

They look great Christell. You are very talented.

I really really like all three but this one has a certain subtle look to it that seems to fit the image very well.
