Need help Please

My Father in law passed away on Saturday, my wife and I are trying to figure out if there's a template or a way in PSE5 to make a memorial card for him.

My condolences. Exactly what kind of card are you refering to? I'm of Swiss/German desent and when my grandparents passed away they printed up memorial cards that are the size and shape of a business card with their photo on it and birth/death dates and a small summery.

Hi Steve,

Please accept my deepest sympathies. While you will probably find templates for cards, I would go in a different direction. Red River Paper has two sided card stock called Frio. One side is photo glossy and the other is matte. It is perfect for all cards. I would find an outstanding photo that will remind all of your friends and family of your father in law. I would print that picture on the front and place your message on the inside.

Ideas for the picture include a favorite picture of him, the ocean at sunset as you live near the Pacific, or the desert west of LA. The most important concept is that it is very personal to you and your wife.

what I'm looking for is a template made for standard 8.5x11.5 printer paper, when folded in half then in half again will show the picture on the outside.

When you open it, it will show the information about my Father in Law, then on the back it will have a poem.

I cannot find a tempalte that I can just plug the information into, the card will be 4x5.5 when folded.

Does anyone know where I can get a template please

It's been a while since I used 5 but doesn't it have a create tab? There should be card templates there that you can customize.

My sympathy to you and to your family.
The template for your purpose is 1/4 fold configuration. I have software called "Greeting Card Factory DeLuxe." I have v.6; the most recent version is 7.0. I bought it at Staples. There are several editable cards of the type you seek in the program. One can enhance the picture in Elements, then import it into the card program. The stock text can be deleted, then one can replace it with a unique message.

If you have microsoft publisher it has a template for the card type you want to do.
