Hi, In Scott Kelby's book Photoshop Elements 3 he says to fit a CD jewel case with a matching size label in 'print photos' window chose Adobe PDF in the select printer pop up menu and enter dimensions required for jewel case. Adobe PDF does not appear in my printer menu only my printers. How can I correct this situation please.

Hi Brian,

Welcome to the forums... :)

This has thrown many people. Scott has a version of Acrobat Writer which allows you to create (print) pdf documents. You would need to install Acrobat Writer... unless your printer allows you to create custom sizes.

This thread includes instructions on how to create a cd jewel case template in Elements..

Hello Brian,

If you are a Mac user, you can create a jewel case in iTunes. I've done this with images from Photoshop a few times because CD's have become popular birthday party favors with kids in this neck of the woods:)

iTunes is also available for windows... so if you're on the other side (Windwos), no excuse, go download it!

Select a Playlist (or create one) with a few songs (like 20-25) then File / Print / Choose the White Mosaic (an example). You'll get your CD cover !

Now, when printing, choose save as PDF and import the cover back in Elements. You'll have the occasion of changing it a bit.. :-D

Wendy-it couldn't be easier-you can also use the album art from purchased music. There are a few different options, and it also prints the songs from the playlist. :)
