do you print your own cards? if you do what kinds of paper do you use. I have created some cards and not finding the right kind of paper to print on. Your cards are very nice and colorful. Do you sell your cards? if so at what price? I hope you do not mind the questions but cards are so fun to make and I do need some advice.
Thanks Tina B

A great gallery! Your cards are lovely. I really like making cards but it seems I nearly always have to trim. My printer shits things upward so when I do note-sized cards, there is more white space at the bottom than at the top. My printer is older so maybe I need a new one.

Hi Tina,
Newbe here on this forum and to ELE and I just love your work. Where did you lear your techniques. Any place I can get points from for Ele 6. I would appreciate any help. By the way when I do cards I put them on a CD (after working on them) go to Jewel and print them as pics. Size 4x6. Add them to card stock with a back border and double sided tape. They come out great, saves on ink and the price is right. I do not sell them anymore but used to for 3.00 each at retail. Back of cards had all my info on them and then packaged each on in a seperate cover.
Please let me know where to get instuctions on some of your work.
Thanks,
Mary

I finally got back here .Its a lovely crisp sunny day here so we took the Dog for a long walk.
I am happy that you all enjoyed looking at my cards ,thank you for your kind words Kimh, Julie, Martha ,Tina.
Hi Mary welcome I don't think we have met before, you will get lots of help on this Forum. I am working on 4 .
Tina I do not sell my cards .Bought a Canon Pixima iP4500 at Christmas .It came with some ink & a few sheets of Canon Matte Paper .
The matte is nice if you are doing Watercolours & Textures ,it looks more like the real thing.
The photos are 4x6 on a background oof 7x5 which in some cases looks like a mat.I use a photo glue stick to glue the now 5x7 card on to folded cardstock .
I have a good card program but dont use it much.I too will watch this thread Tina to hear what techniques you are using.:)
Thanks. Storm

Here is what I did for the Bridge and Boaters photo
It was taken from a tutorial by Westiemom/Anita from this forum
Ctrl J to copy
Ctrl+Shift U to remove color
Ctrl J to copy the black and white layer. On this layer Ctrl I to invert.
Change the blend mode on inverted layer to color dodge
Go Filter>other>Minimum. I used about 4 pixels
Now go back the the original layer(the one with color) and Ctrl J to copy
Drag that layer to the top and reduce the opacity.
Merge the top three layers so you'r left with two layers.
Ctrl J to copy.
Go to Filter> Artistic>Poster edges
Play witht he opacity until you get something you like.
Sometimes I will copy the original layer and put that on top of all the layers and reduce the opacity for a bit brighter color. Just adjust the opacity unitl you get what you like.
the frame was from Jodi's wood frames >crackled blue.
Give this a try and you will have lots of fun
