Red Eye

I am using Photo Elements 3.0. I had a picture that was dark and I lightened it and then I wanted to remove the red eyes from my subjects (it was a group picture, outside at dusk). The red eye tool worked great for most of the subjects but on some it put black dots on lips and in hair (the person did have red glossy lips and the little girl had red hair but it did not change the "red eye") How can I make sure the red eye tool only corrects the red eye? Any help would be appreciated. I tried to do a search but I was overwhelmed with what I had to choose from and couldn't really find anything on red eye. Thanks, in advance, for your help. Ramona

Hi Ramona - I would try to do a selection around the eye and then use the red eye tool. It should ignore everything except what you have selected. :)
