I have a very hard time seeing the toolbar etc... with the dark background. Can I change it? Andie

From what I've read in other posts...no.
You do get a bit used to it. I pulled up PSE 4 in error today and felt blinded. I wish they'd give a choice, though, rather than mandating dark vs. light.
A desk lamp really helps (no kidding!!)
Good luck!

Hi Andie ...
I too wish that they had given us the option to change the colour ... in some places its almost unreadable and I find myself going back to previous versions because of that :(

Me too, Wendy. It is not good at all for old eyes!!! I am also having trouble with the flyout menus on the toolbars in order to access the other tools - like burn and dodge or the different lasso tools. Is there a trick? Am I the only one who has to fiddle with the mouse to get the other options to show?

Hi Andie ...
The trick is to click on the little black triangle in the bottom right hand side of the tool ... bur on a black background its actually hard to find the little triangle :(

No kidding. I can see it but it is hard to get my mouse pointer to grab it. Oh well...I'll manage. I wonder why they thought a dark background would be a good thing?

I hope Adobe reads these posts because the dark color is AWFUL, I cannot see a thingand I won't buy another one unless they change it.
Thanks for listening.:)

I also have a hard time seeing the small items of this workspace and would not buy it again with my old bad eyes. I don't know if I'm doing it right but I stopped trying to hit the small triangle of the tools. I now just put my cursor over the tool and right click.

Johnny,
Welcome to the Village :)
What you are doing is correct. It works well for me also. I must be a rare bird here as the dark colors do not bother me.
