Is anyone familiar with Adobe eBooks? I am interested in trying one, but the one I am looking at is 88MB,and if I load that into the Reader, I am afraid it will crash my PC! Or does it function differently than normal PDFs?

Hi, Reka. I've "checked out" eBooks from my college library from time to time and my little 512MB RAM, 40GB laptop does just fine with them. . Also, most of my "real" reference books now come with the entire eBook on CD, which I load up. No crashing in sight!

The cool thing being able to search on any term and all those pages pop right up. The bad thing is you can't read it over the breakfast table :p

Are you looking to buy an ebook?

Yes, I was looking at Ben Willmore's CS3 Up to Speed, but looking at the contents, now I am not so sure it is the book for me. I want something general, not just geared to sprucing up photos, which is the impression I got.
