Hey, thanks for the notice and comments!

The current photography challenge on NAPP has the theme of Glass. The genesis of the idea was a marble I saw lying on the floor last night. Here's the before shot:

As you can see, I cropped in quite a bit. EXIF data is:

ISO 100
f/5.3
1/200
focal length: 45mm

I added a Curves Adjustment Layer in CS3, a vignette using Lens Correction, and did some Luminosity sharpening. That's it. Somone at NAPP commented that the lighter parts of the background were a little distracting, and I tend to agree, after taking a second look. I think they should be darkened.
