VHS to Computer File

I guess I am wrong.

I thought that I could capture video from a VCR into Premier Elements. Is this not possible?

How would I go about doing that?

I do capture VHS tapes into Premiere Elements. There are various ways to do this, a Google search will give you a lot of information.

If you have a digital camera that allows passthrough, you can connect the VCR to the camera then to the computer.

Personally, I have purchased an ADS Pyro A/V Link, a IEEE card for the computer and the cable (Firewire to Mac users, I think). The VCR is connected to the A/V link box; it is connected to the computer with the IEEE cable.

The software will capture the tape. If you want more information, go to muvipix.com. There is a world of information on that site.
