I opened a blank in PSE 5. I took my pen and just scribbled some lines, etc... I then turned the pen over expecting to erase what I had "written", but it just wrote some more. What am I doing wrong and how can I make it erase?

ckelloggjr,
In Windows Control Panel, open the Wacom Tablet Properties applet, and see what function is assigned to the eraser end of the pen... mine says "erase".

So much for the easy answer... at least we can rule that out!

I think this is the same as happened to me, were you trying to erase on a background layer?
If so that is it, it doesn't, it won't make transparency there so it writes with the background colour (you don't notice this if you background colour is set to the same colour as your document).
So to avoid this, you can double click your background to make it into a regular layer (or duplicate it and work on that).
hth,
Lisa
PS I also found better accuracy by instead of erasing with the opposite end of the pen, switch over to eraser on PSE and use the nib end.

Thanks everybody! I'll work on this. I was expecting an email indicating that I had received a response(?).
