Hi ...

When you install something in parallels it should then operate in the same way that it does on a pc.

Are you using XP or Vista ??

I, too, have Parallels running on an Intel Mac with 2GB of ram. I believe my XP environment is set to run with 512MB. I installed PSE 5 on it but quickly removed it........just ran too poorly on 512MB, and I needed to maintain most of my resources on the Mac side. If you find a good answer, I'd love to hear about it, because I'd really like to reinstall Elements.

I am using windows xp sp2, what happens is premiere video sort of hesitates within the editing window. I have 4 gb of memory on my iMac and gave parallels 2gb of memory to use. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Or do I have to setup bootcamp and install premiere elements 4 inside boot camp. Kind of kills the purpose of switching back and forth between mac and windows.

Hi ...

I have been a Mac user for a long time so have never used Premiere Elements but I suspect that it is using a lot of memory and maybe parellels can't cope with it.

... certainly for Photoshop Elements I think that it is easier simply to use the Mac Version. (Adobe will do a platform switch at a minimum cost .. I think that the last person to do this said it was around $6)

Probably the best place to get advice on the Premier Elements issue is the MacMentor forum.

The people there have a lot of experience of these type of issues :)
