Hi - I was hoping someone could help me. I have been unable to burn a DVD successfully. I am trying to include both photos and videos. My videos are taken with a Nikon camera, and the DVD-R disc is a Sony. Any thoughts as to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks - blissjeg

I would like to work with you to a happy conclusion to your issue, but you are going to have to supply a lot more details. So here goes the questions:

Basically, what are you doing in detail?

1. What programs are involved. Are you creating a slideshow in Photoshop Elements and sending it over to Premiere Elements for burn to DVD-VIDEO format on a DVD disc? If so, how are you outputting it, wmv or as is? What are your settings in Premiere Elements. What versions of the programs are you using.

2. What are you trying to burn to DVD? First the stills (jpegs, I assume), do the pixel dimensions exceed 1000 x 750 pixels? How many stills? The video, what is the video format from the Nikon camera. If you do not know, check the camera specifications. How long are these video clips and how many of them are you using in the project?

3. Have you optimized your computer? What is your operating system? How much RAM and free hard drive space do you have? Do you defragment you computer regularly? Have you shut down unnecessary programs running in the background?

The above is but a few of the many considerations that must be faced. We can fine tune the questions/answers as the details come in.

But, review the above and let us see if we can work out the problem.

In addition to the above questions, another important question is: does your DVD Burner work when used with other programs? Can you successfully burn DVDs outside of Photoshop Elements?
