In regaards to the size, if I change it in order to put into a gallery, will it forever be changed and cause problems if I want to print poster size? This is probably a very basic question, but I have not been able to find an answer.
Thanks

Hi, if you make a copy of your picture using File > Save for Web > longest side 700 - your picture will be resized . Save for Web automatically lowers the resolution to 72ppi and you can adjust the quality slider. Save for Web also saves as a copy of your picture with the extension .jpg instead of .jpeg.
ALL of this has absolutely no impact on your original picture - it stays the way it is

Thanks for the "Save For Web" tip. I spent all day yesterday resizing my pics at 72 ppi, and length or width to 700 pixels.

I also retitle my photo -
As I save all my forum "stuff" at less than 150K - I title the projects with the number 150 in front,
i.e., "150 Dad's New Car"
- then I know this is the jpg in the "save for web" size.
An added advantage to placing 150 in front of the title - you cannot copy over your original since you changed the title.
