I would like all the slide show titles to be consistent and consequently I want to edit the titles of a few of them. I cannot figure out how to do it. Help please.

Where are you doing this slideshow, Photoshop Elements Slide Show Editor, or Premiere Elements Timeline?

And, what versions of the software are you using? More details, please.

From your other thread, it would appear that you are working with Photoshop Elements 5 without Premiere Elements 3.

If I am right and based on your other thread, this is my response to the question that you presented here.

If you want to edit the text WHILE IN your Photoshop Elements 5 Slideshow Editor, just click on the text. You should get a dialog for doing the editing.

If your slideshow has been saved as a creation in the Organizer (see that other thread for details), then click on appropriate thumbnail (the one with the creation icon) in the Organizer to reopen the slideshow and then click on the text to edit it.

HOWEVER, you will NOT be able to edit when it is in the wmv version (that is going to be the thumbnail with the video icon).

Let me know if this works for you.

I am working with PSE5.0.
When I go to File>Open Creation I find the names of five slide shows that I have created. I was not consistent when I gave the slide shows names and I would like to address that. I don't think your suggestions deal with that issue. Your suggestions seem to deal with editing text on the photos which I have no problem with.

Sorry about that...moving forward

This works in Photoshop Elements 3 and 6, I do not have 5, but suspect that it is the same in 5....

In the Organizer, right click the thumbnail (with creation tag) that you want, select Show Properties/General. In the name field, change the name.

Let me know if that is better.

Contrasts....

Just a little add on from an experiment that I did in Photoshop Elements 3...

Remember I said that slideshow as a creation in the Organizer you can do further edits, whereas the saved wmv version of the slideshow, no further edits....True for the content, but not the title.

Now back to the titles issue as you defined it...as I said previously, if you right click the thumbnail of the slideshow as a Creation saved just in the Organizer, and select Show Properties/General, you can change the name in the name field. Well, that also works for the title that you gave the saved wmv version of the slideshow represented in the Organizer as the thumbnail with the video icon.

Yes, thank you ATR, that worked. A simple fix that I did not find obvious.
