Can anyone tell me how to remove the default signature from the email sent out from within PSE5 emails.

I sent these photos using Adobe(R) Photoshop(R) Elements 5.0. Find out more: http://www.adobe.com/photoshopelementswinI had removed it from PSE3 but have failed to remove this one.

Try this....

Prepare your Photo Mail as usual
After your e-mail to be sent opens in Outlook Express, highlight the area that you want to get rid of, and then....

Go to the top headers and select CUT(with scissors icon). Then hit Send to send.

I tried this and it works. Let us know if that worked for you.

Photoshy,

I followed the advice HERE (http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pselements/qt/customemailtext.htm) to permanently remove the baked-in signature from PSE3. Maybe it will work for version 5 as well?

There are two files (pdf.txt and standard.txt) in this folder:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\shared_assets\locales\en_us\email\signatures

Both contain the above quoted text. They can be opened with a text editor and the text can be deleted. Next both files, now empty, should be re-saved. No more advertisement on the bottom of the email message.

Yes, it does. Sorry, I did not see your post earlier...

Juergen,

That answers my question above - it is the same as PSE3!

EDIT. Guess we were typing at the same time!

Thanks to all of you for your replies. The information worked great and now I have no need to go and remove that line from each mailing. I had removed it from my PSE 3 but had forgotten how. (This can become frustrating at times).
