I was attempting to do an aquatic background on page 28 of the latest Element Newsletter. It tells me to use a cloud filter and then a radial blur filter. When I enter OK for the radial blur--it comes up that I don't have enough memory. According to my system information, I have 1.27GB Memory Physical of total 2048.00Mb phyical memory. I also have 2.0 GB Virtual Memory with 196 GB Virtual Memory available. I made sure I had enough memory for PSE when I bought this computer. Don't tell me I'm going to have problems with layers, filters etc. Can anyone advise me please?

you can increase the amount
of ram for photoshop in
CS2 in the preferences
menu, I assume you can also
do it for elements also

Patti,

Go to Edit/Preferences/Memory & Image Cache (I think this is where you need to go) My PSE is set at 55% for Maximum Used by PSE. Check yours.
