Hi, I have a question on using the Red Eye removal tool. I have been using PS7 and PSP 7 for awhile now, decided to try out Elements 6. I know something about Red Eye removal tools. But for the life of me, I can't get it to work for Element6. I've tried using the cross hair, the manual (making a box) arond the eye. Nothing is working for me. Using the {box) around the eye, as soon as I remove my finger off the left button on the mouse the box disappears. Using the (auto) function a wide strip of grey appears.
There has to be a simple solution to the problem I'm having. But for the life of me I can't come up with the solution.
Help...Please:)

Sorry, no solution, but just to let you know you're not alone. I've not had the gray stripe problem, but I do know that the removal tool works sometimes, but not always.

Good luck,

I must be lucky because the Red Eye Tool has worked to my liking 9 times out of ten. I've been using version 6 for a couple of weeks now and I've tried it out lots of times.

So far I've left it on the default setting of 50/50. I zoom in really, really close to the eye and just click once on an area with plenty of red.
Give it another try and make sure you are working directly on the photo layer, not another layer you have added.
I tend to fix the eyes before I do anything else. There are other things you can try too, let me know if you any have luck this way :)
