An animal (remember this cannot be a stock photo) taken during this week. One picture per entrant. Have fun, and I look forward to seeing the interpretations on this one.

My timing is lucky! We just got back from Wildlife Prairie State Park on Saturday, where we spent the afternoon playing with our cameras. What size do you usually upload?

Taken on my Kodak Easyshare CX7530. I used Noise Ninja to filter out the artifacts and Elements to adjust the contrast. I loved the action in the shot.

Janis after you upload your picture it will come up on the screen. Go to the address bar and highlight the link, then choose copy. Go into the forum and paste this link into your message. Remember to resize your picture before posting to pixentral so that we can see it properly. The biggest side should not be more than 700 pixels.
You will have to repost it to pixentral now since you don't have the link.

Thank you Pauline. It worked. That wasn't the picture I wanted to display. I coundn't find the original one. How do you see the other pictures on that link. I only see 3 on the bottom and I can't seem to see the other 2000 or so?
Pauline

Glad that worked. You can only see pictures on pixentral when you are given a link. They aren't 'open' for public view without a link. Is that what you mean?

yes, I guess I didn't get a link, and if I did, I didn't write it down.

Couldn't resist posting an animal while on vacation in the UK. Taken Tuesday at Wisley - the Royal Horticultural Society gardens near Guildford.
No access to Elements and the only thing I could find on this computer was a way to resize for posting - so what you see is straight from the camera.

PS for Wendy - great weather - was at Eden yesterday, off to Heligan today. How on earth did you get that Eden challenge photo - my camera totally fogged up in that biodome.

Gary, just for you. A picture that is NOT my dog!!
This is Chip. A new pup in the neighbourhood. He is 8 weeks old. A German Shorthair Pointer. Cute little guy.
This was the best pose I could get since I was not only dealing with him but a ham of a 3 year old that wanted all the pictures taken of him!!

Cropped and used levels to lighten.

Ray,
Thank you so much. Nah, those are his usual colors (his feet are tinged by the orange sand he lives on). He was aghast at his situation and just stayed put for minutes. Just my speed. :)
And thanks for your framing tip posted elsewhere; I got through it first try and loved the effect.

Well, the dog next door moved, and although I like cats, we don't have one of our own and I'm not overly fond of any of the neighborhood cats who wander and--uh--pause for a little bit in my yard.
So, I thought this fellow might prove to be an interesting subject...
