hi all. I am sure this is a simple one but just playing around, I can't seem to figure it out. Any tips out there?

I want a white circle with a shadow. I tried the DROP SHADOW brushes but I would like the circle shape solid and have the shadow actually look like a shadow.....unless that's how it should be done using DROP SHADOW brushes and I'm doing something wrong.....???

Any tips? TIA!

This is best done with Artwork and Effects >Layer Styles. Create a circle on a layer above the background layer and fill it with white. Then apply a Drop Shadow. You can adjust it afterward by going to the Layer Styles icon in the layer thumbnail.
