I want to journal some text and it to be in a circle. I want the text looking like it was typed in a circle shape but I do not want an actual circle appearing around it. Thanks so much.

Hi,

Not sure if you want your text to go around the outside of a circle, or to fill a circle shaped text box with text.

Photoshop Elements doesn't have the ability to type text on a path like Photoshop does, but there are workarounds to get a circle made of text. Try this tutorial for text around the edge of a circle:

http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/cgi-script/tutorials/publish/printer_531.shtml

Here is some discussion on filling a circular shaped text box with text:

Also, here's a purchased product that will do it:

jdaa,

I have a set of 13 PSD files of Text on a Path that I downloaded some time ago that was made available for free from Kimberly Geswein at DigiScrapShak.com I can't seem to get the specific web page for the download to open now. There are 4 6 8 & 10 in Circles, Squares, Heart, and Star. Since they are PSD files you just open them as any other image file in PSE Editor and choose the Type tool then click in the text that is already in a circle and it will be replaced by your text. Then drag it onto your image. If you would like I will try to PM it to you, but don't know if we can PM PSD files. If not you can PM me your E-mail address and I will sent to you that way.

Thanks to all of you that have offered help. I'm going to look further into the links that were given.

I'm wanting to have my paragraph to look like it is within a circle (the beginning and ending lines being shorter and then lines in the middle being the longest.

Thanks all.

Just playing to see what I could come up with for circle text:

In my search I found this and it worked out perfectly. I'm still going to read the rest of the information in the links but maybe this will help someone else in the meantime.

Debbie,
The site doesn't seem to work for me, I get Error 404 Page/File not found

PS: My e-mail program was acting up a bit while sending the PSD files to you. Did you receive 10 or so?

Thank you for helping me by sending the files. I received a total of 12, including the reduced for web one.

Here's the link again for the free download. Hopefully it will work.

Another post I found had a site that offered these type of things to download for a small fee. Here's that site.

Take a look at the excellent video at this link :

This should do exactly what you want

Debbie,
Looks like the second site has just what you were wanting at a reasonable price. I have bookmarked it.

Please refrain from posting links to for profit sites.. If I allow one to do it then I have to allow everyone and then we would become a giant advertising board, I'm sure none of us want that.

Thanks!

I didn't even think of that when I did it. I just saw it in another post here from months ago and copied. I'm sorry and won't do it again.
