Hi,

I'm new here. I've had PSE 5.0 for quite awhile now, but have just started scratching the surface. I came here because I'm still stuck on how to use layers and it's driving me nuts.

I just got a new camera (Nikon d80), so I'm really starting to delve into my PSE. It's been fun, but I hope to learn a lot here and maybe one day share some wisdom :)

welcome to the Village :).

You might like to check out the training over on http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/ they have an online layers course, I haven't taken it myself but I know a lot of forum members do.
Also if you subscribe you get access to lots of training videos which get you off to a great start with mastering PSE.

But also if you have any questions, just ask, someone is always along to help,

Thank-you so much for the welcome! When my kids go to bed tonight, I'll be coming back to look at that tutorial and probably ask some questions.
