HELLO, bird brain is back,:D I NEED TO ERASE THE BACKGround on a photo i shoot on NEF, the photo has my niece in the mother arm whos unfortunately is still in her nighties, the shoot of the neo born is picture perfect, but the mother doesnot want to be shown, how do i get the mother erased(only from the foto :D ) ?

There are a couple of methods to achieve this.
Give this a try.
First, duplicate your background layer.
Then you could select another part of the surrounding area using the lasso or the marquee or the clone tool and place it covering the person you are excluding from the photo. Once you have selected an area (marquee or lasso) you willhave the marching ants around it. Use ctrl/command+j to move this to its own layer. then switch to the move tool and slide it over. You will probably need to clean up the edges a bit
either with a mask or the eraser.
or-
select the people you wish to keep, and place them onto a different background.

Hi Jarwa
Try as Michelle has suggested but do all on a copy of the original.
Don't use the eraser brush although that would seem the thing to use.
Also, once you have the image selected and on it's own layer. You will likely find it easier to see the "cutout" if you turn the background layer off (eyeball thing)
