This picture turned out IMO phenomenal in the printed version. Wish I could figure out how to include thumbnails in my post:o I looked through older post and ended up with a headache.

yes, I agree-very, very nice. I have the same problem as you trying to post my images within the forum - I did figure out how to get them into the gallery, but that's about it.

I struggle with the weblinks as well, and do better by using the "manage attachments" option. Give this a try - I assume you are using Elements. In my PSE5 I go into the organizer, select the images you want to post and select the "create email" option in the top toolbar. This will take you to a window within the organizer that shows the images and allows you to remove or add more to it. Follow the prompts, "save as jpg, etc." and note where the file is being saved. Mine automatically go to "waiting for email attachments" (or something like that) which I keep on my desktop.
Go to the forum, and where you submit your post, go down to "manage attachments" click on that and it will take you to another small screen where you can browse and locate your images. Double click on each file name, click upload, and the thumbnail should appear in your message.
I hope I didn't leave anything out.
Good luck - it works for me.

Thank you, I willl definately give this a try. I also looked at the "How to use forum" tutorial here in the village. Was that button up at the top always there? I had never noticed it.
Loved your stuff...BellaPouty is priceless.

I don’t wish to be critical of your efforts, but don’t you see that you lost the depth (3 dimensional quality) of the photo. The original colors where rich but a little plugged. You managed to lighten and clean up the photo, but you blew out the highlights on the forehead, cheeks and chin. Also details and definition in the ears, eyes and hands have been lost.
Please take this as a positive suggestion.

Yes, I can see where it may seem blown out. However, I wish you could see the printed version. There is such a difference between the screen version and the printed version. On screen you can't even see the canvas texture unless you click on the picture to view the original size in smugmug. I am usually disappointed when I get my pictures printed. They look perfect to me on the screen and then :( so much darker when I have them printed. This one in particular was better when printed. It looks like a magazine cover.
This other picture which I loved on screen was a total disappointment when printed.

I hope it doesn't seem like I'm not open to criticism. My pictures have a hint of the surreal and I realize I need to be reigned in every so often or I'll just float away in my pink fluffy cloud. :) Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks - I don't believe the "how to use the forum" has always been there. Only just noticed it the last few days - but I had not been on here in a long while until a few days ago. I think I will read it as well. :)
