What Wendy just said...... rainy.
I'm sure it's nicer than what is let on, but that's what it's known for..fog and rain.
I'd still love to go sometime.

Just checked bbc.co.uk and it's showing sun for 4 days in a row. Not that that means anything - the one thing I learnt in England is that forecasts are always wrong. And we're used to the rain and fog - mac, brolly, a nice pair of wellies and we can handle anything  .

Oh my goodness ... and I thought you all spoke ENGLISH
Wellies ... now thereby hangs a tale.
Wellies are the slang term for Wellington Boots ... named after the 1st Duke of Wellington (1769 to 1852) who commanded the Anglo-Allied forces at Waterloo.
Maybe you call them GumBoots :)
See you get history lessons too

Carol ...
It is indeed true ...
The 4th Earl of Sandwich (1718 to 1792) was a gambling man and didn't like to pause his gaming to use a knife or fork. Because of that he was partial to food between slices of bread as he could hold it in his hand and carry on gambling ... so it became known as a sandwich :)
