Not sure if i should be posting this here, but what the hay...
a few months ago, our house caught on fire at 3am in the morning. We all got out okay, and treated with just oxygen (me, hubby and 5 kids). We had to immediately relocate to a nearby city, and the kids had to switch schools.
Josie, my youngest (7), took it the hardest. She was very close to her classmates and her teacher. The week after she started her new school, I took her into her old school to say goodbye to her teacher, he handed her a packet filled with "goodbye" cards that all of the kids made for her. We went through them when we got home...and i gotta tell you, i was in tears. It was so moving, reading these cards.
Josie and I decided to do a slideshow project, as her thanks..and goodbye to all her friends and her teacher. I want to share it with all of you, because i think it shows the beauty and level of caring that kids feel for each other. May be silly...but i think its very cool.
(oh, and the reference to "jail" is a make-shift jail cell that they put up during a local festival, all the kids pay to put each other in "jail" and the proceeds go to charity.)
Merry xmas to all...there is still lots of love in our world, especially in our young ones.
