A lady at work asked me "to do something" with this old HS newsletter that her sister was in. I spent a lot of time on it and wondered what you all think?
Thanks for checking it out.

Kim,

What a nice nostalgic piece for your friend's sister. It turned out really well and she is sure to be pleased. I'm wondering if you considered removing the duplicative first sentence? Great job...

It looks great. I think the first sentence is supposed to be a caption under the photo. You might want to move it there and then move the text up on the side, thus giving a more symetrical layout which could easily be framed.

You did a nice job on cleaning that up.

I agree with Nancy about the caption part (good thinking Nancy). Even though, in the original it is not layed out as such.

Oh yeah, that does make sense. Thanks for pointing that out Nancy.
I so appreciate the comments.

I know you worked hard cleaning it up and did a fantastic job, but maybe some kind of background other than plain white to give it more of a nostalgic feel.

Thanks for your input. I actually scanned a sheet of parchment to 'help out' but may have lightened it a bit too much.

Kimh , I did this in a word processing program like Microsoft Word and imported the photo. You can copy the layout in PSE if you like it.
