Hi folks
Anybody with PE6 ... can you try to resize the pallet bin for me. Mine works lik I am clicking on the close/hide button when I click anywhere on the line.
Reset the prefs already so no idea what else to try.
Any suggestions or similar experiences??
Thanks.

I have seen this mentionned elsewhere, and it is the same with me. It is clearly a bug in PSE6.

Strange thing is I am pretty sure I had resized it at some time.
Problem is I have different versions on different computers and can't remember what I did in what program.

I'm still using PSE 5, and my pallet bin is behaving itself. However... when I try to have the PHOTO bin open at the bottom, it closes almost immediately. Anybody else having that problem? I even went up to "Window" and put a checkmark in front of Photo Bin. I don't often want the Photo Bin open, but is handy if I'm working between different images or want to compare images.

Here (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?p=339908) is the thread about the bin problems.

Hi,
Go to edit>preferences>general - Project Bin auto-hide and check or un-check as needed.
Edit: In PSE 5 it's the "Photo Bin", not Project Bin, but it works the same way. You can also right-click on the bin itself and check/uncheck "auto-hide" in both PSE 5 and 6
FWIW, I'm pretty sure that in PSE 6 the pallette bin is either there or not there, no adjusting allowed.
Have fun,
Steve

Gary: I've given up using the palette bin and us floating palettes instead with the palette bin (and Photo Bin) closed. Gives you a lot more room to work especially when you combine and collapse the floating palettes and just open up what you need. Here's what my PSE6 editor looks like when it opens - all the possible palette items are there - just not taking up room :)

Thanks, I had just started trying different pallet positions and configurations. Still not sure what I want and where.:)

Thank you, Steve, for the information (I tried it and it works!), and Es for the thread information.
To all-- Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays, if you prefer)!!!
