I see that I'm going to have to get up very early indeed to get a jump on you, Chuck! Wow, I like what you (and Matt) did with Pat's ducks. That is really quite amazing. Thank you very much for sharing how to resize within LR. That is going to make things a lot easier...

Ellen,
I like what you did with Pat's ducks using the Indian Summer and the Wow Brown. At first I only used the presets as given but I'm now feeling a little more confident to use them as more of a starting point.
Chuck, you're starting to scare me... :D

Just realized I posted my comments in the main thead so have moved them here; can't even follow my own instructions.
1. Chuck, I love the colour and warmth that the preset brought out in the ducks. Just beautiful... good choice!
2. Nice Julie, very natural looking colours by retaining their little yellow heads and brown body fuzz. Cropping sure can have an impact can't it?
Adorable little guys....
3. Linda, you did some interesting things...
I really like the first one after opening it up. There are more yellow tones to the grasses behind the ducks and in the water. I'm assuming that's a dark vignette effect on the outside edges, which I think works really well with this image. Together the colour effects look to me like the ducks are spot-lighted - very nice!
The 2nd one is interesting - I'm still looking. :) I do like the cool feel to it, such a contrast to the others. I noticed the reflection of the ducks in the water quicker in this one.
If I ever get Lightroom back up on my computer, what on earth am I going to try???
4. Chuck,
That's Wild! :D Looks like a piece that could be worth a million one day...
The "blood" red makes me think of the hunters I dislike so much - my poor ducks. Did notice that the aqua blue sure does compliment that red tone nicely.
