PSE 5 and Vista

I didn't think I would be in this fix. My old XP pc and PSE 5 were running like a top. But did I leave well enough alone? No, I thought I needed a more powerful P.C. so I just bought a new Quad Core running Vista. Big mistake. Now when I drag items from the photo bin, or close them the item goes, but an outline remains and it moves slowly down the work area to the photo bin (and I mean slowly). Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Could use all the help I can get.

I just went back to XP and have heard many others have done the same. Vista looks great, but it didn't work well with my monitor calibrator and was amazingly slow. XP has been great to have back.
