Problem Printing?

Can anyone tell mewhat to do about this? Purple edge at one end and brown at the other. This has only started to happen last week and again today. Up until now my prints have been perfect. I use an Epson 1400, which is still under guarantee if this is going to be a real problem!:(

I would suggest that you reinstall the printer driver.

I see that you have posted the same issue elsewhere. I would amend mine to agree with the printer head cleaning comments posted there - my Canon has two cleaning modes, dont know about EPSON so give it a shot there. If that fails, then try the reinstall.

Hi Sue.I get those sort of streaks with my H P printer,when the ink cartridge needs changing.Cleaning the heads could make a change,but I would tend to look at the cartridges.Dave.

Try printing a test print from your printers utility programs.

It will usually have some sort of colour test stripes. This will help troubleshoot a bit.
I remember I had to clean the heads of my sisters epson one time.. but I had to do it a few times to make things right.

Thank you everyone. I have done a print head clean - the yellow looked like it was the problem. Will have to print another picture now to find out:p
