PSE 5 or 6

First off, this is my first post here, so a big HELLO to everyone. I am going to purchase PSE soon and am wondering a couple things. Are there any big differences between PSE 5 and 6? Also do the different layer modes(options) work the same in both? I read an interview on a website that stated that they thought PSE 6 was not much if any better than PSE 5. I figured if there is not much difference, I'll go with 5 and save a few bucks. Thanks, and I like this forum :)

Hi and welcome.....

I have both PSE5 and PSE6. I really do like 6 with the quick fix and darker screen. You are able to concentrate more on the photos and other now seem quite bright to me. My favorite tools are the quick fix sharpen and the face merge where you have one person looking the other way in one photo and you merge them to have them all looking in the right directions. Love it more each day..........if that helps.
